Description
IOM is seeking a Senior Movement Operations Associate (FS) G6 to supervise movement operations activities in the field.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a team of up to eight staff members, managing airport services, assisting individuals at transit centers or third-party facilities, and ensuring timely and adequate services for meals, snacks, and water.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and supervising field support staff
- Managing airport services, including travel documentation and escorts
- Assisting individuals at transit centers or third-party facilities
- Ensuring timely and adequate services for meals, snacks, and water
- Providing oversight at transit centers and third-party facilities
- Supervising the coordination of transportation
- Coordinating pre-departure formalities, including counselling and travel loans
- Liaising with external partners, such as airport and government authorities
Requirements:
- High school diploma with 6 years of work experience; or Bachelor’s degree in social science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field with 4 years of relevant work experience
- Prior Movement Operations, transportation-related and/or management experience
- Experience with supervising a team and communicating with beneficiaries and external partners
- Computer/software literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with and lead a team
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
