Description
We are seeking a Senior Flight Readiness Technician (Level C or D) to join our T-7 Operations Team at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
As a Senior Flight Readiness Technician, you will perform routine final component installation and verification, as well as systems operational functional validation testing. You will also conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks, inspect and document non-conformance with high complexity, and resolve identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
Responsibilities:
- Identify problems and coordinate follow-up communication with support organizations for problem resolution
- Provide technical support in problem identification for pre-flight and post-flight checks, inspect and document non-conformance with high complexity
- Perform inspections of flight test installations and aircraft functional testing
- Inspect pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and document faulty components
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks and perform inspections of maintenance and modification actions
- Resolve identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products
- Verify the accuracy of work performed
- Assist in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery
- Plan, schedule and arrange daily activities with the assistance of lead
- Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
Requirements:
- Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift
- 3+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
- 3+ years of avionics and/or electrical experience
- 3 years’ experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Security Clearance
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant license
- Familiar with Boeing Production System
- Airline / MRO / Overhaul experience
- Experience with computing & operating systems
- Experience with AFTO 781 forms and IMDS
- Experience as a Flight Line Expeditor or Pro Super

Salary Range:
- Level C: $79,050– $106,950 USD
- Level D: $91,800 - $124,200 USD
