Description
This role assists the Lateral Intake Conflicts Manager with coordinating conflicts review for new business and special interest initiatives during onboarding of new firm business services candidates, associates, partners, counsel, and strategic hires.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate receipt of conflicts documentation for new hire and lateral attorney candidates, reviewing for completion and accuracy
- Assign tasks to junior Intake team members and monitor progress
- Engage with candidates and Recruitment to gather additional details for conflicts clearance
- Assist lateral attorneys with client and matter registration, including pre-arrival briefings and post-arrival orientation
- Collaborate with various teams to resolve conflict of interest issues
- Assist in training Conflicts Intake Specialists and Senior Conflicts Intake Specialists
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines under tight time constraints
- Participate in the firm's Responsible Business program
Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills, multitasking abilities, and analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 3 years of legal conflicts of interest experience or 5 years of legal background with law firm experience
- Elite 3E Conflicts Database experience preferred
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Core hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed
- Annualised salary range: $67,000 to $83,000, depending on experience
- Discretionary bonus eligibility
