Description
Mastercard is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to drive their customer experience strategy forward. The ideal candidate will have advanced hands-on experience in configuring, patching, upgrading, and optimizing database software and related products.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Microsoft SQL Server Database support for MasterCard Application databases in On-Prem and Cloud databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, optimize database performance, and ensure data integrity and security.
- Design, implement, and maintain Mastercard's database systems.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive to root cause and remediation of issues.
- Develop a strong partnership with technology teams and customers to understand business needs and communicate solutions in business terms.
- Understand database security topics, including database users, roles, and privileges.
- Understand cloud concepts, including database administration activities in cloud solutions.
- Strong performance and tuning skills to identify, respond, and resolve database performance issues.
Requirements:
- Advanced experience in security, backup/recovery, architecture, networking, and administration for assigned database discipline.
- Proven record of accomplishment in working with technology teams for the development, maintenance, testing, implementation, and support of assigned database technologies and associated software products.
- Ability to influence Mastercard best practices in planning, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining database solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services, PowerBI report server.
- Additional knowledge of AWS and AZURE will be helpful.
