Description
You are a seasoned application engineer with expertise in RTL-to-GDSII digital implementation, particularly in high-performance compute designs. Your role involves driving technical engagements with customers across Asia-Pacific on high-performance compute designs, including Arm and RISC-V CPUs, GPUs, and DSPs using advanced nodes from 7nm to 3nm. You will deploy and optimize Fusion Compiler implementation flows to solve PPA challenges on real customer designs, working through synthesis, place-and-route, and signoff closure. Additionally, you will develop and debug RTL-to-GDSII methodologies in collaboration with customer design teams, identifying bottlenecks in timing, power, and area and delivering solutions that work in production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving technical engagements with customers across Asia-Pacific
- Deploying and optimizing Fusion Compiler implementation flows
- Developing and debugging RTL-to-GDSII methodologies
- Reproducing customer design issues in-house and providing actionable solutions
- Translating customer findings and pain points into detailed enhancement requests for Synopsys R&D
The impact of your work will be significant, as your deployment work will directly influence whether customers achieve their PPA targets and tape-out schedules on some of the most complex processor designs in the region. The methodologies you develop will become repeatable solutions that scale across multiple customer engagements and design teams.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital design or EDA applications
- Direct experience with synthesis and physical implementation flows
- Strong debugging skills across the RTL-to-GDSII flow
- Proficiency in scripting with Tcl, Unix shell, or Perl
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
As part of the Synopsys team, you will work on cutting-edge designs that power the next generation of processors, and the solutions you build will show up in silicon. The team you will be part of focuses on delivering industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation, and analysis solutions.
Rewards and benefits include a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs.
