We are seeking a Bank Porter to join our team at Spire Cheshire Hospital in Warrington.

As a Bank Porter, you will provide an efficient, professional, and courteous portering service throughout the hospital.

Your responsibilities will include:

Safely transferring, transporting, and guiding patients around the hospital
Supporting patients in a caring, sympathetic, and professional manner
Helping to maintain the safety of patients, visitors, colleagues, and consultants
Collecting and delivering clean and used linen throughout the hospital
Supporting the safe collection and disposal of domestic and clinical waste
Assisting with the general security of the hospital and its grounds
Reporting any security concerns promptly to the appropriate member of the Senior Management Team
Reporting maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department using the Pirana system
Undertaking courier and driving duties as required
Transporting equipment, supplies, and other items safely between hospital departments
Responding promptly and professionally to requests from clinical and non-clinical colleagues
Supporting the wider hospital team with additional duties when required

We are looking for someone with:

A full, clean driving licence
Previous experience of delivering frontline customer service
Experience of working in a similar customer-facing, portering, or facilities environment
Good communication and organisational skills
Excellent customer care skills
A caring, patient, and sympathetic manner
The ability to work independently and without direct supervision
The ability to work effectively as part of a wider hospital team
A reliable and flexible approach to work
The ability to undertake a physically active role
The flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality, safety, and professionalism in a healthcare environment
