Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Public Policy, Pacific Northwest to lead government relations, campaign and engagement strategies in the region.
Airbnb's public policy campaign team works to further the interests of our community of hosts and guests with politicians, regulators, opinion leaders and others who shape the political and legal context for our business.
The Senior Manager, Public Policy will focus on engagement with local officials and regulators, building trust and understanding the contribution our community makes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop public policy campaigns to mitigate risks, promote growth and advance Airbnb's interests.
- Develop and execute public policy strategy, influencing policy and regulations impacting host eligibility and the platform.
- Represent Airbnb in associations, meetings, and events with government, elected officials and stakeholders.
- Develop communications, local stakeholder engagement strategy and partnership programs.
- Research, analyze and articulate Airbnb's positions to policymakers.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners and manage local consultants and agencies.
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in direct legislative lobbying and public policy.
- Experience in direct government relations and public policy advocacy at local and state levels.
- Ability to quickly understand complex technical and regulatory issues.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communicator with great presentation and writing skills.
- Strong work ethic and professionalism.
We offer a salary range of $168,000-$207,000 USD, and the role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
