As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience. Your main priority will be to ensure that guests have a smooth and easy shopping experience, while also maintaining a clean and organised store environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and provide excellent customer service
- Help guests find what they need and resolve any issues that may arise
- Execute daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor and backroom
- Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified
- Learn and execute operational procedures such as setting and organising merchandise, managing product accuracy and stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas
- Follow all Target policies and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly and efficiently
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
