Description
Join the BBC as a Production Assistant Apprentice, working in the Children's & Education department. You'll gain hands-on experience across various projects, support high-profile productions, and contribute to content enjoyed by audiences across the UK.
As a Production Assistant Apprentice, you'll:
- Help develop ideas and stories by researching content and finding guests and participants
- Assist teams on location, in the studio, or in a TV gallery and help out on the studio floor
- Learn to use technical equipment and specialist software by supporting teams with cameras, sound, lighting, and editing
- Create content for multiple platforms, including social media, under the guidance of experienced professionals
You'll study for an industry-recognised apprenticeship qualification, learning both on and off the job. This means you'll attend learning blocks (up to a week at a time) with a learning provider, working towards a Level 3 Production Assistant qualification.

To be eligible, you must:

- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
- Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
- Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme
If you're under 19 years old on 7 September 2027, you'll need to have achieved Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above or National 5 (Scotland) at C or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
