Description
As Senior Risk Manager, you will lead the implementation and ongoing operation of Wise’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework tailored to the EU region.
You will set and continuously adapt partner onboarding and ongoing monitoring standards so they remain resilient to emerging operational and financial risks and to shifting regulatory expectations.
Your responsibilities include:
- Implementing the ERM framework for the EU region
- Setting and adapting standards for partner onboarding and ongoing monitoring
- Providing risk advice to product and business teams
- Reviewing and updating risk management policies
- Supporting regulatory business plans and risk management input
- Developing a deep understanding of products and controls
- Presenting monitoring outcomes to relevant committees
- Providing regular updates on incidents, issues, and risk changes
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in risk management for EU and/or UK financial services institutions, strong knowledge of European risk management frameworks, and subject matter expertise in EU regulation such as DORA, Outsourcing, and data privacy.
