Description
We are seeking a Senior Product Compliance & Risk Manager to join our LatAm Regulatory Product Compliance and Risk team. You will work closely with product managers, analysts, and engineers to launch and manage compliant products in Latin America.
Your mission is to enable our UK product teams to launch new products and manage our risk profile through a deep understanding of the regulatory requirements and regulators' expectations around them.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate on product design to ensure compliance with regulations
- Perform pre-launch and ongoing product compliance legal and regulatory analysis and risk assessments
- Design scalable and customer-centric solutions to regulatory requirements
- Offer effective advice to product managers on existing and forthcoming regulations, gaps, and risks
- Identify and manage LatAm regulatory risks across all products
- Oversee the control environment and evaluate residual risk exposure
- Collaborate with compliance colleagues to ensure product teams are aware of the latest regulations and guidance
- Work with product teams and the wider compliance and risk team to implement and maintain management information
- Conduct audit management and challenge audit findings
- Develop and deliver effective issue management to mitigate regulatory risks
- Represent Wise in meetings with banking partners and the central bank

Qualifications:
- Regulatory-legal background and financial regulation advisory experience
- Comfortable interpreting LatAm regulations
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively
- Effective communication skills with product managers and engineers
- Problem-solving attitude with the ability to use regulations and data to drive business decisions
- Experience working in a fast-growing environment and directly with product teams
