Description
We are seeking a skilled Polish Linguist to join our Production team on a full-time, remote basis.
As a Polish Linguist, you will manage translation and copy-editing tasks, ensuring high-quality linguistic deliverables for assigned projects or accounts. This involves coordinating with freelancers and agencies, maintaining language resources, resolving terminology queries, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to enhance workflow efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform copy-edit tasks on assigned projects or accounts
- Conduct on-demand translation tasks
- Provide lead support on assigned projects or accounts
- Manage and maintain language materials, including glossaries and style guides, to ensure quality standards are met
- Handle project-related queries and resolve terminology issues
- Test and qualify new freelancers and vendors as needed
- Develop and train internal linguists and external partners according to account and company needs
- Interact with clients on linguistic matters and participate in developing new working processes
- Meet or exceed productivity, on-time delivery, and quality KPIs
- Achieve goals set by the team manager
Requirements:
- University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistic Studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Native-level fluency in Polish
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- 4+ years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing
- 2+ years of review experience
- Thorough understanding of the localization process
- Proficiency in standard software such as Windows and Office applications
- Experience with CAT tools like XTM, SDL Studio, and issue tracking tools like JIRA
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and provide constructive feedback
