WSP is seeking a Transportation Director/Local Business Lead (LBL) for the South Puget Sound geography, based in Tacoma. The successful candidate will play a key strategic leadership role in the Mountain Pacific Region, strengthening and expanding WSP's Transportation practice.
Your Impact As a Transportation Director/Local Business Lead, you will drive performance of the transportation business and strategically grow market share. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing local client coordination and cross-selling efforts
- Integrating as the 'face of the company' locally and across the State of Washington
- Bringing an expanded view and integrated response to complex challenges
- Utilizing technical and subject matter experts across regions and districts
- Working with Business Line Leaders to attract top industry talent
- Emphasizing employee training and development
- Supporting programs such as Safety, Sustainability, and Ethics & Compliance
- Optimizing client and employee experience through process improvement
- Focusing on innovation and collaboration
- Developing local growth, forecast, and business development strategy
- Resolving conflicts and internal/external issues
- Collaborating with regional and district leaders to drive business growth
Who You Are
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in the A/E/C industry with a strong focus on transportation
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Planning, Business, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability, and growth
- Ability to innovate and re-think conventional approaches
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Established client relationships and industry contacts in the local area
- Commitment to internal and external client service
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety

Compensation Expected Salary: $210,000 - $310,000
