Description
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will prepare and update cost estimates, budget forecasts, and cost plans across all project phases.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and evaluating Bills of Quantities (BoQs), pricing schedules, and tender documentation
- Supporting contract administration activities in line with FIDIC and Ashghal contract formats
- Performing quantity take-offs and verifying contractor measurements and valuations
- Preparing interim payment applications and supporting certification of contractor payments
- Tracking and managing project variations, changes, and claims
- Providing support in claims assessment and dispute resolution processes
- Maintaining cost control systems and preparing regular commercial reports
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams on all commercial matters
- Ensuring proper documentation, cost records, and contract correspondence are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably on infrastructure or highway projects
- Prior working experience with Ashghal projects is strongly preferred
- Sound knowledge of FIDIC contracts and cost control procedures
- Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, CANDY) and MS Excel
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Membership in a recognised professional body (e.g., MRICS) is an advantage
- MMUP Registered
