We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our team at Eglantine Villa Care Home in Dartford. As a Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of our organisation, providing person-centred care that supports independence and honours choice.
Eglantine Villa Care Home is a carefully converted home offering nursing, residential dementia care, respite, palliative, Parkinson’s and convalescence care. The home is set in three-and-a-half acres of beautiful gardens and has a range of facilities, including a sensory room, social activity room, conservatory and large secure gardens.
As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care
- Observing and managing residents' behaviour with care and ensuring that any changes are documented and reported in accordance with the required legislation
- Supporting residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan
- Providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually
- Maintaining accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements
We are looking for someone with motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are also essential. Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification is desirable.
