Working as a General Merchandise Expert at Target means being part of a team that prioritises guest experience while ensuring product availability and efficient operations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional guest service, greeting guests, and resolving issues
- Maintaining a clean and organised sales floor and backroom
- Receiving and restocking merchandise, setting up displays, and pricing items
- Operating power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures, if certified
- Supporting team efforts and assisting peers in other areas
- Adhering to Target's policies and safety procedures
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Physical stamina to lift up to 44 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
