Description
We are seeking a Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team at Allington Court Care Home in St Albans. The successful candidate will oversee and assist with all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
The role involves creating and updating individual care plans for residents, maintaining accurate medication records, and ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained. You will also provide day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice, and dignity.
As a Clinical Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and assisting with all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home
- Creating and updating individual care plans for residents, maintaining clear, accurate, and up-to-date medication records
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained within the home
- Providing day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice, and dignity
- Building lasting relationships with residents and their families
- Creating and developing strong relationships with local partners
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A valid NMC pin and a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and expanding your professional development
- Up-to-date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control, and care planning
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong and honest relationships with residents and their families
- Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize your workload
