Description
As a Freelance Linguist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality translations and reviews for Punjabi language projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform translations and reviews of Punjabi language content
- Conduct copy-editing and linguistic checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and style adherence
- Provide feedback to translators and freelancers to improve overall quality
- Manage and maintain language assets, such as glossaries and style guides
- Collaborate with the translation team to clarify terminology, style, and linguistic issues
- Support the onboarding and training of new linguists and freelancers
- Participate in the development of new and improved review and quality processes
- Meet or exceed quality and productivity KPIs
Requirements:
- University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistics, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in translation, review, or localization
- Native fluency in Punjabi language
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Solid understanding of the localization process and review workflows
- Proficiency in standard software (Windows, MS Office)
- Experience with CAT tools and query/issue management tools
Skills:
