Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our Menswear team at NEXT. As an Assistant Buyer, you will be responsible for developing a commercially successful product range by building strong relationships with suppliers and analysing data to plan across all categories.
You will collaborate with designers and merchandisers to create outstanding products, work closely with the e-commerce team to optimise online sales, and liaise with the Marketing team for campaign and e-commerce shoots within department budgets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple product ranges effectively
- Identifying the latest trends for menswear and having a comprehensive understanding of the market competition
- Analysing data to plan and buy product
- Collaborating with designers, merchandisers, and technologists
- Optimising online sales through tone of voice, imagery, and other tools
- Managing the critical path for product development and selection
- Swiftly identifying new product opportunities
- Effective team management, resource delegation, and motivation
- Frequent travel to source the best products and prices
Requirements:
- Proven track record in buying or a related field
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic attitude and team-player mindset
- Expert knowledge of the menswear industry
