Principal Responsibilities:

• Review and provide approval on new-to-bank account opening applications for BBD Portfolio-managed segment, ensuring compliance with Group and Bank policies, procedures, and appetites.
• Balance risk management, business needs, and operational efficiency by participating in ongoing reviews and discussions of CDD procedures and documentation.
• Liaise with CDD case managers to make sensible judgments and balance commercial interests without compromising risk controls.
• Coach junior team members to enhance their CDD and FCR knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in the banking industry, focusing on commercial banking, with a good understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) regulatory requirements for corporate customers.
• High level of customer-centricity mindset with dedication to delivering exceptional quality services.
• Ability to motivate other managers and staff on a cross-functional basis.
• Skilled decision-maker with strong analytic, judgmental, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience in successfully influencing others and negotiating effectively.
• Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
