Description
Mastercard is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Enterprise Data Solutions team. The successful candidate will develop high-quality, secure, and scalable data pipelines using tools like DMExpress.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality, secure, and scalable data pipelines
- Leverage new technologies and approaches to innovate with increasingly large data sets
- Drive automation and efficiency in data ingestion, data movement, and data access workflows
- Understand, implement, and enforce software development standards and engineering principles around ETL
- Contribute ideas to ensure required standards and processes are in place and look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency
- Perform assigned tasks and production incidents independently
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in data warehouse-related projects
- Experience with cloud tech stack, big data, Databricks
- Extensive experience with Spark, Airflow
- Strong analytical skills for debugging production issues and providing root cause and mitigation plans
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, interface with external/internal resources, and function under pressure in an independent environment
