Description
Discord is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the Engagement ML team in the Growth organization. The successful candidate will design and build end-to-end ML solutions to help new users find communities and content on Discord.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and scale recommendation systems that connect new users to communities and content.
- Solve cold-start personalization for users with limited history on Discord.
- Build and deploy ML models to improve new-user retention.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to shape the Onboarding roadmap.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, or Applied Science.
- Hands-on experience building modern recommendation systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Experience taking ML systems from ideation to production at scale.
- Strong product intuition and excellent communication skills.

Salary: $220,000-$275,000 USD
