Description
Join Splunk as a Software Engineer in their App Runtime team, focusing on Splunk Cloud Application Management experiences. You'll design, implement, and deliver long-term impact software primarily in Go, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deliver software in accordance with given requirements and existing system architecture.
- Maintain existing technology stack, debug, and fix issues.
- Work closely with product management, architects, and the team to build exciting features, reusable components, and products.
- Create, enhance, and encourage robust test suites for all code.
- Integrate metrics and service level indicators into features.
- Lead code reviews and use customer experience knowledge to prevent future problems.
- Follow SDLC process in Agile methodology.
Requirements:
- Software engineering experience, including large-scale SaaS application development.
- Solid knowledge of Go in a production environment.
- Practical knowledge in Docker, Kubernetes, and other container technologies.
- Good knowledge of operating system (preferably Linux) inner-workings.
- Comfortable with tuning application performance and engineering for scalability.
- Strong communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
Nice to have:
- Python knowledge
- C++ knowledge
- AWS or Azure experience
- Terraform and Puppet experience
- Software security knowledge
- Understanding of computer networks
- gRPC protocol insight
