Description
We're looking for a Staff Technical Sourcer who specialises in talent discovery, particularly for complex aircraft engineering needs. You'll develop precision sourcing strategies, build talent intelligence, and cultivate pipelines for aircraft and advanced aerospace engineering organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define target profiles and build data-informed sourcing strategies across various aircraft engineering disciplines, including Aerodynamics, Aerostructures, Propulsion, and Avionics.
- Map the market, identifying hidden talent pools, competitor insights, and emerging trends to inform recruiting strategy and workforce planning.
- Use advanced Boolean search techniques, sourcing platforms, and creative channels to identify, engage, and attract exceptional aircraft engineering talent.
- Build long-term relationships with passive, cleared, and specialised aircraft engineering talent.
- Leverage AI to design, build, and improve sourcing workflows, research agents, and automations that increase recruiter productivity and candidate discovery.
- Create repeatable sourcing systems using AI tools and workflow automation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on aircraft technical sourcing, coaching recruiters and hiring managers on market insights and sourcing strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimise recruiting strategies, outbound messaging, and candidate experience.
- Track and iterate on sourcing effectiveness using recruiting analytics and experimentation.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of technical sourcing experience, ideally in aerospace, defence, aviation, or complex hardware/software industries.
- Proven track record in market mapping, competitive intelligence, and candidate generation for specialised aircraft or aerospace technical roles.
- Expertise in advanced Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ, SeekOut, ClearanceJobs, GitHub, and other modern sourcing platforms.
- Experience operating as a consultative partner to recruiters, hiring managers, and senior aircraft engineering leaders.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered sourcing workflows, agentic AI tools, and workflow automations.
- Direct experience using AI development environments or coding assistants.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Strong judgment, curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting aircraft, aerospace, aviation, or defence engineering organisations.
- Experience navigating export control, ITAR, EAR, or security-cleared recruiting environments.
- Familiarity with Ashby and recruiting analytics, CRM, or talent intelligence platforms.
- Experience supporting high-growth, venture-backed technology organisations.
