About the Role This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government. Due to federal government security requirements, all Workday personnel working on the contracts must be United States citizens.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers and QA Engineers on functional design and analysis of requirements
- Lead the design and development of products in a metadata-driven environment
- Build and maintain robust, efficient, and maintainable code using an object-oriented framework and class modeling
- Troubleshoot customer-reported issues
- Mentor and learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, hackathons, etc.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with UML, web application development, or SaaS technologies
- 6+ years of experience with design and development using an object-oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, etc.
- 6+ years of experience designing/developing business applications
- 6+ years of experience with design and analysis of software for performance
Nice to Have
- Experience leading agile/scrum teams, providing technical guidance, and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with JSON, REST, and GraphQL
- Strong knowledge and application of key design patterns in object-oriented development
- Experience in developing applications that prioritize usability and configurability
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience
- Preferred DoD 8570/8140 compliant with at least IAT Level II certification
What We Offer
- Annualized base salary ranges: $145,500 - $218,300 USD for the primary location, and $131,600 - $233,900 USD for additional US locations
