Description
Howden Ireland is seeking a Portfolio Solutions Manager to support the delivery of its placement strategy, including retail schemes. The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the business to develop, deliver, and manage specific portfolio solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Helping to shape and define portfolio and scheme strategy, scope, and objectives
- Delivering assigned projects and contributing to other projects and initiatives
- Supporting the wider business strategy by contributing expertise and advice
- Executing placement strategies to drive growth of new business
- Developing and maintaining insurer relationships
- Providing management information to senior management
- Creating good practices, tools, and processes for portfolio and scheme management
- Identifying risks and ensuring mitigating action is taken
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive portfolio and scheme documentation
- Measuring portfolio and scheme performance
- Creating reports against key performance metrics
- Supporting continuous improvement in portfolio and scheme delivery practice
- Acting as an escalation point for queries raised by insurers
- Adopting and adhering to Howden Ireland Compliance and Governance practices
- Ensuring up-to-date records are maintained on all Howden Ireland systems
- Keeping informed of relevant legal and regulatory developments
- Following company processes and procedures
- Developing strong relationships with Business Units and external stakeholders
- Resolving insurer issues relating to portfolio and schemes
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of experience in a portfolio management, placement, or schemes role
- Experience in market engagement, presentation, and high-impact document delivery
- Experience in analysing datasets to assess profitability, scalability, viability, and scope of opportunity
- Demonstrable experience of portfolio delivery throughout the whole lifecycle
- Awareness of the compliance and regulatory environment
- CIP qualification
- Degree standard education (desirable)
