Description
Working as a Target Security Specialist means helping to keep guests, team members, and the brand secure. You will use intelligence-led tactics to prevent and resolve theft and fraud, and respond to crisis events. As a Security Specialist, your typical day will include creating a welcoming guest experience, promoting a physical security culture, and responding to security incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a friendly and helpful guest experience
- Greet guests and help them find what they need
- Respond to security incidents and document them accurately
- Leverage de-escalation tactics and resources
- Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support
- Prevent theft and shortage at the front of store
- Submit documentation in the case management system
- Understand and use Target's video surveillance system
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meet state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently and as a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
