Junior SOC Analyst

Leidos Australia is seeking a Junior SOC Analyst to work on a rotating shift roster onsite at HMAS Harman in Canberra. The successful candidate will be part of the Central Processing Cyber Security Operations Centre (CP SOC) capability with the Department of Defence.

The role involves monitoring and analysing security events, incident response and management, threat and vulnerability management, security tool administration and process improvement, and stakeholder communication and reporting.

Key tasks include:

• Monitoring dashboards and alerts
• Monitoring ITSM for SOC destined requests
• Identifying false positives
• Escalating 'Insufficient Information'
• Escalating suspicious events
• Escalating alert tuning suggestions

The ideal candidate will have technical cyber security knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, incident response expertise, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and adaptability and continuous learning.

The pay range for this role is $89,300.00-$111,600.00.
