Description
We are seeking a Loading Shovel Operator to work in our Anaerobic Digestion facility in Rotherham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the anaerobic digestion process and mobile plant, as well as housekeeping and maintenance activities, in compliance with site licences, PPC permits, health and safety legislation, ABPR and planning conditions, and Company policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating mobile plant machinery for material handling operations
- Ensuring compliance with site environmental permit and municipal contract
- Reporting close calls and incidents
- Participating in best practice and continuous improvement
- Maintaining a close working relationship with the BDR Management Team and staff
- Complying with changes to company standards and legislation
- Performing light maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Assisting the site supervisor in reviewing maintenance activities, cost control, health and safety, behavioural safety observations, KPIs, and implementing necessary remedial actions
- Maintaining high levels of housekeeping
Essential criteria:
- Basic IT experience in Microsoft (SCADA experience desirable)
- Loading Shovel experience
- Experience in delivering continuous improvement in an operational environment
- Data capture and recording systems experience
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Good communication skills
Salary: £32,697.60 per annum Working Pattern: Mon-Fri - W1 05:00-14:00 & W2 13:00-22:00
