Description

Salesforce Professional Services is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to support our Life Sciences customers across the EMEA North region (the Nordics, Benelux, and Switzerland) from a base in Denmark, within the Customer Success Group - Professional Services.

You serve as a strategic advisor and Salesforce product and platform expert to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology organisations, helping them turn business priorities into scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.

You work with customers and partners to define the solution vision, lead technical architecture and guide implementation across commercial operations, medical affairs, patient services and, where relevant, clinical engagement.

The role combines technical expertise with consulting and leadership. You engage developers, business stakeholders and executives, align multiple delivery teams and help customers make informed architecture decisions within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor connecting customer business objectives with scalable Salesforce architecture, delivery roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Architecture Leadership: Lead technical architecture for multi-stream enterprise engagements, coordinating solution architects and aligning decisions across customers, partners, and delivery teams.
  • Domain Solution Design: Translate Life Sciences requirements (HCP/HCO engagement, medical affairs, patient support, and commercial processes) into secure, practical solution designs.
  • Enterprise Integration & Security: Design robust data models, APIs, and security architectures connecting Salesforce with master data management (MDM), content repositories, and clinical or safety systems.
  • Regulated Platform Governance: Partner with quality, privacy, and regulatory specialists to establish consent management, auditability, access controls, release governance, and GxP/validation compliance.
  • AI & Automation Innovation: Evaluate and implement AI use cases (including Agentforce and Data Cloud), defining data access governance, human oversight, and evaluation criteria.
  • Rollout & Migration Strategy: Shape regional migration and rollout strategies addressing data quality, legacy application retirement, global standards, and local country market needs.
  • Quality & Delivery Assurance: Review architecture approaches and key technical deliverables to ensure scalability, security, and high performance. Guide configuration and contribute hands-on when needed.
  • Delivery Collaboration: Work alongside project and engagement managers to manage dependencies, resolve technical risks, and align customer expectations.
  • Presales & Practise Building: Mentor customers, partners and colleagues, contribute reusable patterns and industry knowledge, and support pre-sales activities where required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years in enterprise architecture or technical consulting, including 4+ years leading complex Salesforce implementations.
  • Industry Domain: Experience delivering technology solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical technology organisations, with knowledge of one or more areas such as commercial engagement, medical affairs, patient services or clinical operations.
  • Technical Leadership & Fluency: Strong expertise in Salesforce application design, data modeling, identity management, enterprise integration patterns, and platform scalability.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven track record of leading technical teams in agile environments and communicating technical trade-offs to senior executives.
  • Adaptability & Mobility: Willingness to consult across adjacent industries when needed, with the ability to travel across EMEA North, and occasionally internationally, according to customer needs.
  • Language Skills: Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken).
