Welocalize is looking for a native-level Portuguese Brazilian speaker to join a confidential, large-scale AI and consumer technology programme for a major global technology and communications client.
This is a hands-on, on-site role that combines evaluating a pre-release AI model in Portuguese Brazilian and testing how the product performs on a client-supplied device , a smartphone and a next-generation smart glass.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review pre-release AI model output in Portuguese Brazilian and evaluate its accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
- Test the Portuguese Brazilian experience against the English one, confirming feature parity and checking for localization errors.
- Identify display problems and write clear reports for developers to reproduce issues.
- Share your perspective as a native-level speaker on navigation, usability, and language-specific nuances.
- Work on-site in a private, secure area of the Welocalize office.
- Support other linguistic projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Native-level or fully bilingual Portuguese Brazilian, written and spoken.
- Confidence with smartphones and laptops, and comfort moving between iOS and Android.
- Sharp eye for detail and fair, objective judgement when assessing quality.
- Ability to work independently and explain issues clearly in English.
- Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation is a strong plus.
