Description
We are seeking a Hotel Services Supervisor Porter, Patient Dining, Domestic to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory role within a domestic, housekeeping, facilities, healthcare, or similar environment.
The role involves leading and supporting a team of Domestic Assistants to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained across clinical and non-clinical areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, allocating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing guidance to staff to ensure services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with Trust standards.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organisational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and timekeeping. They will be able to work afternoon shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as required by the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting a team of Domestic Assistants
- Overseeing daily cleaning operations and allocating workloads
- Monitoring performance and providing guidance to staff
- Ensuring compliance with Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) requirements, Health and Safety legislation, COSHH regulations, and local policies and procedures
- Working closely with ward managers, clinical teams, and facilities colleagues to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff
