Description
The Boeing Company is seeking a Retrofit Project Manager - (Logistics Integration) - Mid-Level to support Boeing Global Services and join the C-17 Retrofit, Maintenance, and Modifications team in San Antonio, TX.
The Retrofit Project Manager will coordinate Retrofit, Maintenance, and Modification during concept development, contracting, project planning, and retrofit scheduling. The successful candidate will define procedures, special engineering, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to maintenance, modifications, and repairs
- Creating draft document delivery schedules in coordination with overall modification schedules
- Interacting with USG customers and demonstrating clear written and verbal communication skills
- Managing projects using Earned Value Management to control work scope, schedule, cost, and performance against a baseline plan
- Directing all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of military aircraft experience
- 3+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involve cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
- Experience working within a fast-paced team environment which requires strong communication skills
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with C-17 operations
- Experience supporting projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
- Familiarization with Time Compliance Tech Orders (TCTO)
- Experience working with a diverse group of people
- Knowledge of or experience with Supply Chain/Supplier Management
The salary range for this position is $94,350 - $127,650 per year.
