As Flexport expands its footprint across LATAM in 2026 and beyond, Mexico is one of its most important growth markets, and airfreight is a major part of that growth.
The Airfreight Manager Mexico will own the airfreight strategy and P&L for Mexico imports, exports, and Mexico-sold volumes, with a clear mandate to deliver profitable, EBITDA-positive growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Define budget and design the air program for Mexico
- Manage air P&L for Mexico imports, exports, and Mexico-sold volumes
- Transition from agent to direct procurement and ensure competitive rates with airlines and vendors
- Help sales find prospects and win key accounts
- Provide tailored door-to-door solutions at sharp prices
- Coach operations, customer service, and pricing teams
Requirements:
- 7+ years experience in freight forwarding
- Deep pricing and solutioning expertise
- Deep air operations expertise
- Existing relationships with airlines and vendors in Mexico
- Highly energetic and collaborative
- Previous experience selling to clients and managing client relationships at senior level
- Leadership experience leading an air operations team
