Description
Woodhouse Cottage has an opportunity for a male Senior Support Worker to join their team in East Ardsley, West Yorkshire. The role involves providing support and care to six adult males with learning disabilities and autism.
The successful candidate will be part of a compassionate team committed to the residents' wellbeing, using proven therapies to help them move forward with confidence. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting the delivery of person-centred support and care
- Providing leadership during shifts, including handovers and role allocation
- Ensuring residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities
- Administering medication safely and managing service users' finances
- Maintaining accurate record-keeping and reporting
- Monitoring and supporting team performance
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to promoting choice, dignity, and independence for those being supported.
