Description
WSP is seeking a Lead Senior Civil Engineer - Solid Waste Engineer in Texas. The successful candidate will lead project teams delivering services for civil and environmental engineering projects that involve waste management facility design and permitting, stormwater management, landfill gas management, operations planning, and construction quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct project design teams
- Manage large projects in the Solid Waste Sector
- Prepare engineering design reports
- Manage and direct construction quality assurance programs
- Pursue and secure new project opportunities
- Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Prepare proposals and mentor junior staff
- Provide proactive and strategic leadership for the civil engineering discipline
- Lead larger-scale civil engineering projects
- Lead technical aspects of contract negotiation and presentations
- Support the overall long-term strategy, growth, and pipeline development of Civil Engineering work for WSP
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related degree with valid Texas PE registration
- 10+ years of post-education experience in the practice of civil engineering design
- Experience in solid waste containment systems, permitting documents, landfill gas compliance, and master plans for solid waste facilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
- Ability to work independently and within groups
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills
