WSP is seeking a full-time Early Career Civil Transportation Engineer for its Albuquerque office.
As an Early Career Transportation Civil Engineer, you will be involved in exciting and innovative projects with the Transportation Engineering Team, contributing to the design, development, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting design teams in project delivery
- Providing technical input during various project stages, including preliminary design, final design, construction, and contract documentation
- Performing basic design tasks and drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads
- Conducting standard computations and analysis
- Proposing solutions to technical issues
- Collecting data and gathering information or documents
- Developing memorandums and other written technical documents
- Maintaining positive team relationships and contributing to a collaborative culture
To qualify, you need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
- 0 to 1 year of relevant post-education experience
- Engineer in Training Certification (or ability to obtain one within 6 months)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with technical writing and software tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with discipline-specific design software, prior internships related to the degree of study, and active participation in local professional practice organisations.
