Description
We are seeking a UX Design Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. As a UX Design Intern, you will work on product design projects across our various products and offices. Your tasks will include researching users, gaining an understanding of worldwide ecommerce marketplaces, staying informed on the competitive space, assembling wireframes, designing innovative user interactions, and collaborating with our product and development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Research our users with a passion for how they think and work
- Gain expert understanding of worldwide ecommerce marketplaces
- Stay informed on the competitive space
- Assemble wireframes using our pre-designed interface patterns
- Design innovative user interactions for core business workflows
- Tell the story with outstanding spoken and written communication
- Define, document, and present software requirements
- Collaborate with our product and development teams
- Conduct user testing
- Ensure quality of the product UX
- Continually learn about new UX concepts and share with UX team
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in the design field
- Design, Product Design, UX, or a related discipline
- Must be a Junior or Senior in your college program
- Must have a strong portfolio showcasing at least 1–2 UX design projects or case studies
- Experience designing websites and mobile experiences using Figma or similar design tools
- Experience with video editing software
- Experience with user testing software
Nice to Have:
- Previous UX internship experience
What Success Looks Like: Working closely with users, product, and the rest of the UX team, the recipe for success in this role will come through attention to detail, asking the right questions, diving into a problem to find the appropriate solution, and understanding Pattern’s goals and how our solutions help our users reach those goals.
Career Growth: While there is no set position available at the end of the internship, the right candidate, executing at a high level may be considered for a role post internship, or an extension to continue working with the team.
