Description
We are seeking an Associate - HV Cable to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This role is crucial to the growth of our Buildings Mechanical Electrical Public Health (MEP) business in India.
The successful candidate will lead the establishment of a MEP Design Capacity in Noida, working to WSP Global standards, and promoting technical excellence. You will recruit, lead, and develop a team of engineers over a short period, driving significant growth in a technically demanding environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with design teams to agree on project briefs, deliverables, and programmes
- Ensuring design quality to WSP Global standards
- Coordinating with teams to meet health and safety, construction design management, and quality assurance standards
- Communicating with local and global project teams on programme delivery and quality issues
- Reviewing computer-aided design analysis and determining additional checking needs
- Developing energy strategies incorporating renewable technologies and low-energy designs
- Informing the Commercial Director of Professional Indemnity issues
- Maintaining an overview of team workload and resource requirements
- Leading design processes, setting clear goals, and monitoring progress
- Providing technical training, mentoring, and support to team members
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in designing Building Services
- Experience in a similar role or a good track record
- Familiarity with technical mechanical or electrical software (IES, Amtech, Hevacomp, Relux, Dialux)
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
- Fluency in English with excellent technical terminology understanding
- British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and membership in an accredited engineering body
