Description
We are seeking a Macro TFS Support Analyst to join our Markets RTB team at Barclays in Tokyo. As a Macro TFS Support Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the production environment for Pricing, Risk & PnL application, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance of critical business services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline support and useful resources to departments and colleagues across the bank with everyday IT problems, issues and requests.
- Resolve specific technology issues related to products and applications, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are updated on progress.
- Develop reports and dashboards to visualise and communicate key findings and recommendations for improvement to team leads and relevant stakeholders.
- Manage user requests including password resets, software installation, access provisioning and equipment troubleshooting.
- Collect and maintain incidents, requests and resolutions to access trends, identify common issues, track services metrics.
- Maintain a knowledge base containing documentation of resolved cases for future reference and self-service opportunities.
- Execute assessments to establish the severity and urgency of reported issues to support the prioritisation process.
- Develop and provide user training on applications, systems and equipment to enhance experience and self-sufficiency.

The role involves managing on-premise infrastructure like Windows, scripting using Python and Bash, and working with databases such as Oracle and MS SQL.
You will also operate within modern platform environments like Kubernetes, while leveraging monitoring and observability tools such as ITRS Geneos and Observe to ensure effective system visibility and reliability.
