Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our fast-paced Acute Medicine Team, working across the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit.
You will contribute to the 0-72-hour pathway, providing timely assessment and intervention early in a patient's admission. Working closely with Occupational Therapy and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help maintain mobility and independence, reduce hospital-associated deconditioning, support safe discharge and identify opportunities for admission avoidance.

You will use advanced clinical reasoning and demonstrate clinical autonomy within a supportive MDT. Strong communication, organisation and decision-making skills are essential, alongside the flexibility to respond to changing priorities.
Our team includes a Band 7, Band 6 and Band 5 physiotherapists and a Band 4 associate practitioner, supported by a Principal Band 8a Physiotherapist. We offer opportunities for personal development, supervision of junior colleagues, education, audit and service improvement. The team is committed to evidence-based practice, emerging research and using key performance indicators to evaluate and improve the service.
