Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing engineering solutions by applying developed subject matter knowledge.
The role includes tasks such as creating cost estimates, time standards, and operational procedures for new product introductions. You will collaborate with stakeholders for compliance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Designing engineering solutions, including methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacturing of parts, component sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
- Developing and implementing cost estimates, capacity models, time standards, production area layouts, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new product introductions
- Developing operating procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance plans for large-scale manufacturing equipment
- Assisting with issue diagnosis and problem-solving, while aiming for continuous improvement
- Collaborating and communicating with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners regarding process and standards compliance
You will be working as part of a project team with other manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced manufacturing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing solutions for moderately complex products.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A four-year or graduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Typically 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of agile methodology, automation, computer science, continuous improvement process, data analysis, electrical engineering, engineering management, lean manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing processes, mechanical engineering, new product development, process improvement, project management, and supply chain
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
