Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders to their doorsteps. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, completing checks to ensure the van is roadworthy and organised, and communicate with customers to provide a friendly and helpful delivery service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver customer orders on time and in great condition
- Complete checks on the van to ensure it is roadworthy and organised
- Communicate with customers to provide a friendly and helpful delivery service
- Follow planned routes and drive safely in a variety of locations
- Move containers weighing up to 15kg and deliver shopping to a variety of properties
Requirements:
- Friendly and welcoming with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
- Comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely in different locations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical and high-energy environment
- Able to use initiative, solve problems and make safe decisions while out on the road
- Enjoys both working independently while also thriving as part of the wider store team
