Description
We are seeking a Dishwasher (Porter) to join our team at Soho House New York.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the overall operation by organizing and cleaning dishes in the kitchen, such as pots, pans, silverware, dishware, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Rinsing, cleaning, organizing, stocking, and maintaining the proper amount of pots, pans, silverware, dishware, and glassware to support daily operations and business volumes
- Adhering to health and safety policies and implementing, monitoring, and enforcing compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Following checklists and standard operating procedures
- Maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and stocked work area
- Operating industrial cleaning machines
- Disposing of rubbish, mopping areas, and organizing dirty and clean dishware, glassware, and silverware
- Limiting breakage, practicing proper handling, and looking after inventory for daily operations to prevent loss
- Being flexible and available to help and collaborate with other stations if requested or needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1+ year of consistent work experience
- Ability to focus, organize, and prioritize in fast-paced and demanding environments
- Ability to work fast and efficiently while maintaining company standards
- Ability to react quickly when faced with unusual scenarios
- Must have open and flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Positive and influential member of the team
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands
- Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
- Fast-paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others
- Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required

The salary range for this role is $22-$22 USD.
