Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Manager to lead the operational delivery of our Microsoft cloud and infrastructure services. The successful candidate will help build the secure, reliable, and modern digital foundations that support services across the Council.
The role involves leading the day-to-day operational management of the Council's cloud and infrastructure services, ensuring they remain secure, resilient, high-performing, and fit for the future. The post holder will be responsible for the operational leadership of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and related infrastructure services, while managing a skilled team of engineers and technical specialists.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing cloud and infrastructure team.
- Managing the availability, security, resilience, and performance of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Ensuring teams operate in accordance with Council policies, governance frameworks, and best practice.
- Driving continuous service improvement and operational excellence.
- Supporting major digital transformation, cloud modernisation, cyber security, and technology refresh programmes.
- Managing suppliers, service performance, risks, and operational delivery.
- Working collaboratively with architecture, cyber security, and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes across the Council's digital portfolio.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of GBP 57,375 - 72,777 per year, a range of benefits including an excellent pension through the Local Government Pension Scheme, up to 32 days annual leave, and a blend of remote and office-based working.
This role operates on a hybrid basis with a minimum expectation of two days per week working from Enfield Civic Centre.
