Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a freelance basis.
As a Senior Data Engineer at Netguru, you will work on projects within a development team, building data pipelines, and integrating with REST APIs.
Responsibilities:
- Build data pipelines using Python, with hands-on experience in Databricks and dbt
- Work with event streaming and topics, such as Kafka and Debezium
- Integrate with REST APIs
- Perform data validation and write data unit tests and integration tests
- Collaborate with the team to design and implement data architectures
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in software or data engineering
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with data mapping and JSON data format
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- English proficiency sufficient to read technical documentation fluently
Nice to have:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience working with applications in distributed environments
- Experience using AI tools in automated workflows
