Description
Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture of scalable frontend solutions for its pharmacy operations and customer order fulfillment platform.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of software engineering experience, a track record of setting frontend technical direction, and proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, and backend technologies like Node.js and Docker.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture of scalable frontend solutions aligned with product requirements
- Collaborate with technical leaders to identify and drive adoption of common frameworks and practices
- Establish and foster consistent best practices and coding standards across the frontend team
- Guide the technical growth of frontend engineers through mentorship and technical documentation
- Implement tools and processes for monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization
- Define a multi-quarter frontend architecture roadmap for Pharmacy & Fulfillment
- Collaborate with designers for intuitive and engaging user experiences
- Conduct design and code reviews and facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives
Requirements:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven experience in building scalable web applications and services
- Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with monitoring and CI/CD technologies
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in real engineering workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically
