Description
WSP are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Road Engineer to join the Roads team based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will work on the Performance Audit Group (PAG), an independent private sector organisation employed by Transport Scotland to monitor the performance of Operating Companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting, auditing, and monitoring asset inventory collection and updating for a roads network
- Assessing the effectiveness and contractual compliance of Suppliers
- Issuing notices based on site inspections and observations
- Verifying Suppliers' records and confirming works have been carried out in accordance with Specifications and contract documentation
- Contributing to reports required by the Employer
Requirements:
- Technician with HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent degree; all with moderate experience
- Or an individual with comprehensive relevant experience
- Specified level of experience of inspecting, monitoring and reporting on Supplier compliance with contracts, specifications and good practice associated with the construction, management and maintenance of roads and structures
- Demonstrable knowledge of maintenance and construction works associated with the construction, management and maintenance of a roads network
