Description
We are seeking a Validation Specialist to join our Global Validation team, part of DataOps - Account and SSI team. As a Validation Specialist, you will be responsible for authenticating Standard Settlement Instructions, any amendments to confirmations, email domains, fax numbers, and client correspondence addresses before Static is set up.
You will liaise with a larger operations team under DataOps and work closely with other teams to manage bulk and regular BAU volumes. You will also support line management in the smooth running of the operation and delivery of tasks on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
- Process and complete tasks assigned with no exceptions
- Achieve defined productivity and OOE targets (95%)
- Assist team members and line management with volume insights and manage stakeholder expectations
- Maintain HSBC regulatory and internal control standards
- Manage operational risk, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and controls
- Comply with the Group Compliance Policy
Requirements:
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Graduate, preferably with a Commerce background
- Ability to plan and organise effectively
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Experience in Global Banking and Markets
- Experience with new onboarding and ongoing maintenance of Global Markets products and Standard Settlement Instructions
- Thorough working knowledge of GMP
- Ability to work under different time zones (rotational shift pattern)
