Job Overview As a Civil Drafter, you will prepare, manage, and issue drawings for complex engineering projects, check drawing sets, liaise with designers and project team engineers, plan and manage your own work and others, mentor individuals within the drafting team, and participate in knowledge sharing and learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage, and issue drawings for complex engineering projects.
- Check drawing sets for complex engineering projects.
- Liaise with designers and project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
- Plan and manage own work and others to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Mentor individuals within drafting team.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and learning opportunities including a focus on emerging technologies and Digital Engineering.
- Assist in the development of new and existing engineering software, tools and best practice procedures.
Requirements
- Associate Degree of Civil Engineering qualification, or similar, with up to 4 years of experience as a Civil Drafter (technician).
- TMR Roads and Highways experience.
- Proficient operator of AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of ProjectWise is preferable.
- Works well in a busy and at times pressured environment.
- Excellent communication skills - including written and spoken.
